Command and Conquer 2:
Tiberian Sun
by Dan Walker
At last we have finally heard from Westwood on their upcoming title, yes it's almost here Tiberian Sun. After many years, Westwood finally decided to bring out the sequel to one of the best games of all time. GDI and NOD will be in the game, as well as a new side, The Forgotten, who are a tiberium enhanced race, that were the product of NOD's evil tiberium testing on humans.

Some our old favorites will be returning in Tiberian Sun (beefed up of course), including the Mammoth tank (oh yeah), flame tank and stealth tank. There will also be an array of new units one of which is called the 'Devestator tank. The landscape in the game will be true 3D as in Total Annihilation, and fully destructible.
There will be new effects such as snow, rain, fog and night. The night combat in Tiberian Sun will have you drooling. Flood lights will be needed to activate base defenses at night, so that enemy tanks, units or Commando's can be targeted. The actual world physics of this game are unreal, natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcano eruptions will occur, so you will have to know what is going on around you. The explosions in this game are nothing short of brilliant and the transparency effects well, need I say more. Tiberian Sun supports high resolution mode, as well as 3Dfx, so a reasonably fast system will be needed for the best playability. Tiberian Sun is going to be more than just a sequel, but one of the best game titles of all time.
